MORE than 100 employees of Dakay Constrcution and Development Corporation ditched their work boots for their running shoes to join the Run for the Gift Life Charity Fun Run at the Robinsons Galleria last May 19, 2019.
A project of the Rotary Club of Cebu, of which DCDC CEO Pericles P. Dakay, Ph. D is a former president, the event hoped to raised funds to cover the medical operations of indigent children suffering from Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). For this year, the Rotary Club of Cebu is aiming to fund the medical operations of 120 indigent children with CHD and to raise the awareness of the public regarding the disease.
DCDC employees have been joining the run as part of its corporate social responsibility. It was also awarded the Big Delegation Award as one of the five biggest delegations.
Ronald Entrolezo, who got third place in the 16K category last year, improved on his finish after placing second in the premier division. He timed 1:20.47, four minutes behind top runner Nils Rochereau and two minutes ahead of third placer Jerwin Linamas.
