High five again! DCDC bags 5 Safety Excellence Awards for 3rd straight year

It’s another high five for safety for DCDC. For the third straight year, DCDC got five safety excellence awards for achieving zero accidents in its projects during the 5th Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) National Annual Convention and General Assembly at the Bayfront Hotel, Cebu on June 5-7, 2019.

DCDC received the Safety Excellence Awards for achieving zero accidents in its following projects–DCDC corporate office and yard, ACE Medical Center Bohol, ACE Medical Center Cebu, ACE Medical Center Dumaguete and Mesaverte Residences Cagayan de Oro.

DCDC Corporate Office and Yards tallied 4.7 million safe manhours, Mesaverte Residences Project totaled 3.1 million, while ACE Medical Center Dumaguete had 3 million safe manhours. ACE Medical Center-Cebu had 2.4 million and ACE Medical Center-Bohol tallied 2.1 million manhours without an accident.

The event was organized by the Workplace Advocates on Safety in the Philippines Inc. (WASPI) and was graced by at least 200 Safety Managers, Safety Practitioners and OSH consultants all over the country. Atty. Ana C Dione, the Department of Labor and Employment undersecretary, was the guest of honor. In her speech, she commended the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA) for producing a Safety Music Video to promote awareness on safety in construction sites and work areas. The music video project was spearheaded by DCDC.
