MILESTONE. Hundreds of DCDC employees gather at the IEC Pavilion for the company’s 33rd anniversary.

Dakay Construction and Development Corporation celebrated its 33rd anniversary last July 28, 2019 at the IEC Pavilion with the theme “Kooperasyon ug Panaghiusa Para sa Luwas na Kaugmaon” (Cooperation and Unity for a Better Tomorrow).

The different performances by the project teams were in line with theme and they showcased their interpretation of cooperation and unity in the workplace. The project team that won Best in Presentation was the Midpoint Project Team, which is headed by Engr. Nathaniel Avalle. The group created an eye-opening video about a unified understanding of safety in the workplace and its correlation to each individual’s life.

WINNER. The MidPoint Project team got the Best Presentation Award after wowing the crowd with their number, which included a video about a unified understanding of safety in the workplace.

The Shop & Fabrication secured the second place and ACE Medical Center – Cebu/Robinland Project Team, headed by Architect Gabriel Caballero, got to third place.

The highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the 21 service awardees who have been with the company for 25 to 30 years and the recognition of employees who achieved their own milestone. Among those were feted were Engr. Nelson S. Alicarte, who is now a Dole accredited safety practitioner and a PCA trainer, Leslie Eileen M. Ostrea, a PCA Master Trainer, Engr. Vince Gerald I. Abella, who passed the recent Civil Engineering board exam and Roel V. Bahandi and Zoren B. Lopez, who passed the Criminology Licensure Exam.

The anniversary was not just a chance for the company to celebrate but also to give distinction to the new milestones attained by each individual–for the people’s achievements is the company’s pride. With that, a big congratulations to one and all!

25 AND GOING STRONG. The 19 construction workers who started with DCDC when it was just eight years old receive their 25-year service awards.

JUST 3 YEARS YOUNGER. Foreman Samuel Montuya, who joined the company when it was just three years old, gets his 30-year Service Award.
