Dakay Construction and Development Corporation conducted a joint tree-planting activity together with the Carcar Water District in Tapal, Barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City.
More than 100 employees of both DCDC and Carcar City joined hands in planting 350 Mahogany trees. As an ISO 1400:2015 certified company, DCDC regularly conducts tree-planting activity as part of its environmental protection program.
The activity started with a welcome address by Engr. Edward Remo, the general manager of CWD, who highlighted the generosity of the Dakay family. Remo said in his speech that DCDC allowed Cebeco and CWD to traverse a portion of the property with no lease charges, only requesting that the affected trees be replaced, which led to the tree-planting activity.
